Patient Statement

This panel displays all patient statements available for download. When new patient statements are generated, the system automatically adds them to this panel.

Patient statements are generated based on changes to the patient’s balance and follow a structured cadence to ensure patients are notified appropriately without being over-notified.

E-statements are generated weekly, but only when there is a change in the patient’s balance. A balance change can occur when:

  • A new EOB is received from a payer that results in patient responsibility

  • A patient makes a payment (partial or full)

  • A claim is updated or adjusted, changing what the patient owes

If there is no change in the patient’s balance, a new e-statement will not be sent weekly. Instead, if the balance remains unchanged, the system will send a reminder e-statement once every month.

If the patient’s balance remains unchanged for two consecutive weeks, the system will generate a paper patient statement as part of the operational workflow. These paper statements will appear in the Patient Statements tab.

To access this, click Operations > Patient Stmt on the left side menu.
